Children’s circulation is a demographic phenomenon largely studied in some countries such as those in the Sub-Saharian Africa, but almost unknown by Brazilian demography. Indeed, there are authors concerned with such a phenomenon in Brazil, approaching it from the perspective of the social sciences. This paper intends to capture children’s circulation in Brazilian Northern from the demographic point of view. To achieve such an aim, analyzing relations between the phenomenon and several variables (sócio-demographic), using descriptive as well as inferential techniques, specifically multivariate logistic models. The study reveals some of the sócio-demographic factors relevant to understand the circulation of children in Brazil and shows that it is possible to explore further existing data sets to better understand the phenomenon.
