Gender gap in education in India and China

Education is a key to every type of development. Education has long been viewed as one of the keys to success in Indian and Chinese societies - opening doors to jobs, earnings, and career and social development. With the complex division of labor of developing societies, education has become a major social function. It is important, therefore, to examine the level of educational gap in the human development process. The purpose of this paper is to present the country wise scenario (e.g., India and China) of gender gap in education and to demonstrate the taxonomic method’s application to a quantitative analysis of educational gap in different regions of India and China.
